Right on target: ThirdSpace celebrate and unwind at the Summer All Hands 2019

Gemma Clegg

After a busy first half of the year, team ThirdSpace get their game faces on to celebrate.

To start the summer right, all of ThirdSpace gathered in Oxford for our bi-annual All Hands event to catch up, reflect on the year so far, and simply have some fun in the sun.

Taking place twice a year (once in the summer and again at Christmas/New Year), the All Hands brings everyone in the company together to enjoy a variety of training and business updates across all departments – and celebrate our successes.

This time, we had the pleasure of introducing a new team lead for our recently developed Technology Adoption Services department. We’re very excited to welcome them on board and begin a new chapter of our journey – I’m sure we will soon enjoy seeing this team grow and flourish!

"Our All Hands events are central to our business and an important part of who we are. It is a fantastic opportunity to spend time with our colleagues and understand the bigger picture with business activities." Sian Nicholas HR Manager

Last summer it was karaoke, this year we tried our hand at laser gaming! Hosted by Lasergaming in Oxford, this was a great opportunity for us to work with people outside our everyday teams and indulge our competitive sides!

Split into two teams, the aim of the game was to secure and protect key areas within the play zone. The red team steamed into the lead early on, but it wasn’t long until blue team found their feet and claimed ultimate victory by having the most active players at the end.

After working up an appetite from all that running and gunning, we rewarded ourselves with a slice of pizza or two.

“I look forward to the times where we all get together at All Hands. We work remotely and often are a distributed workforce, so it makes it really special when we meet face to face.” Andrew Haskell Senior Project Manager

Without a doubt, we are already looking forward to our winter All Hands, which will feature our annual Employee of the Year award ceremony.

A final message from our CEO:

ThirdSpace CEO, Neil Coughlan, commented: “Our All Hands events are always a really important part of ThirdSpace and our culture. It’s something we all look forward to during the year. Our people work incredibly hard and I am always proud to witness their enthusiasm, expertise and innovation in all they do. The team building event was great fun and something I am sure we will all look back on fondly.”

Here’s to an even greater second half of the year!
